[Coladam] ROM question for ADAM

It's interesting about the "Rogers Q-Pak", I've wondered what they were. I
tried testing continuity between the four pins but there doesn't seem to be
any. I'm surprise if these were meant as a heatsink since mine are plastic
coated and wouldn't likely dissipate much, especially since they are between
the chip and socket. Maybe a resistor, but I haven't yet tested it out.

I've looked through a number of the ROMS, and in my case I've seen that the
SmartWriter ROM is broken into two parts, made up of a 16K ROM and an 8K
ROM. EOS is on an 8K, and the OS7 which is on the Colecovision board is
also an 8K.

I too have come across a system with all four sockets populated. In my case
it was actually a Coleco Adam Expansion Unit #3, not a full blown ADAM.
When I dumped the chips it seemed that the EPROMS labeled ALF1, ALF2, ALF3
contained Smartwriter code in 8K chunks.

Troy.
