Subject: [Coladam] Festive Greetings

A Merry Christmas to all our friends in the ADAM community. May 2014 be full
of good and positive for all.

A small verse follows. Please be assured that I have no wish to kick eastern
Canada while it's down ..... particularly Toronto.

Most of this was written well before the nasty weather struck. Here's hoping
y'all in the eastern United States and eastern Canada
are making out ok. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Merry Merry Christmas

Ron and Sue

A Story of ADAM
By Ron Mitchell
(With apologies to Clement Clarke Moore)

Several days before Christmas
an Adam for sale
Had been purchased on eBay
And sent out by mail

The buyer who hailed
>From the land of Canucks
Had bought the computer
For two thousand bucks

The seller, a dude
>From the eastern mid-west
Had received his full payment
The part he liked best

The box was on route
from hither to yon
And Canada Post
Had their trackers turned on.

The events which then followed
Took all by surprise
Those watching were speechless
Disbelieving their eyes

An aircraft, mid air,
On approach to Toronto
Had been stopped before landing
And boarded quite pronto

By a fat man in red
That the papers would say
Appeared with 8 reindeer
And a giant red sleigh

The whole business witnessed
By those on the ground
All stood there quite frozen
Not making a sound

The fat man emerged
from the plane’s cargo hold
Clutching onto a parcel
So the story is told

With the Adam diverted
In manner quite weird
The sleigh and its crew
Faded out, disappeared

The multitude watching
Could not trust their vision
As the plane made a landing
With routine precision

Torontonians dumbfounded
When word came their way
That the Mayor of the city
Had nothing to say

The Post would report
With a spin to the press
That a box had gone missing
And the whole sorry mess

Was being looked into
With policy in force
No comment was offered
Report in due course

The buyer of ADAM
Frustrated and mad
No sign of his parcel
He thought he’d been had

All moaning and whining
To those in control
Was diverted and placed
In the usual black hole

Then Christmas arrived
To the buyer’s dismay
A parcel appeared by the tree
On that day

A note on the parcel,
“May God rest your soul,
Enjoy your old ADAM”
Signed, Santa, North Pole.
