I really like that idea. But as Rich said, it is too late to use it as a location for July 2014, but it is quite possible still for July 2015, and I will for sure encourage the next chair to work with you to set it up for July 2015.

I'd like to invite you all to hold your next and subsequent conventions
in Amsterdam, New York, where the computers (and Cabbage Patch Kids)
were formerly manufactured.
We could arrange tours of the former COLECO buildings for you - you
might even be able to hold your sessions there as the former
headquarters building is great shape and the top floor has both open and
closed spaces and elegant fittings.
A number of former employees still reside in the city and would be
excited to have you here.
There is a wide range of accommodations within easy driving, and our
downtown hotel is undergoing a major refit, reopening in June 2014.
The city has a variety of attractions: including great Italian dining,
the Eire Canal Hike and Bikeway, River Link Park, a nature preserve, the
Walter Elwood Museum of the Mohawk Valley and Old Fort Johnson, and much
more. It also is at the center of a host of regional attractions:
historic Saratoga and its tracks and racinos, the state capital at
Albany, winter and summer activities in the Catskills and the
Adirondacks, the beautiful and picturesque Schoharie and Mohawk Valleys,
museums and historical sites and trails, etc. In October 2015, a major
new regional attraction will open here : the Mohawk Valley Gateway
Overlook, a park on a bridge spanning the Mohawk river, complete with
trees and plantings as well as historical and cultural art and signage.
If anyone would like to know more, please contact me as listed below.
Hope to see you soon in Amsterdam, New York: formerly the home of COLECO
